KARACHI: Kamran Khan, the host of Geo News programme, ‘Aaj Kamran Khan Kay Sath’, said on Tuesday that the Indian media has announced even before the official election results are in that Modi is going to be forming the next government in India in a couple of days.
The PML-N government seems to be soft on the mega-corruption scandals during the previous government, and the FIA is being lethargic. The issue of MQM chief, Altaf Hussain’s passport and identity card has become serious. The incomplete flyover and underpasses in Karachi’s Clifton area have assumed a dangerous situation, and it seems that the people are being ridiculed.
Kamran Khan said that all the phases in India’s elections have been completed, and now it has become obvious that the next government in India will be that of the Bharatiya Janata Party whose leader Narendra Modi is going to be the next Indian prime minister. Although the election commission is yet to make an official announcement, yet the Indian media has proclaimed victory for the BJP. The media there has even given the number of seats the BJP has won. This is based on the exit polls the media conducted. Similarly, we on our channel and other Pakistani channels had done the same exercise (estimating the results) at the time of our elections last year. In India, the media has given its verdict.
Kamran Khan, while directly addressing Imran Khan, said that “Imran Khan Sahib, this is the norm the world over, but we are being blamed unnecessarily”. He said that the official announcement of results will take another three days, but the entire media had been announcing the results not today, not yesterday but a month-and-a-half ago. The Congress party does not have any complaint in this regard
